A new start, a new chance to do it right! We are out of the gate and anticipating a better local real estate market in 2012. We have survived 2011 and we all know that BC, and in particularly Vancouver Island is the place to be. The key to our success in real estate is directly related to new people moving here. There is no better place to be than here, for all the reasons that makes Vancouver Island so special. The uncertainty around the globe will drive people looking for stability to our doorstep. With our new Economic Development Corpora tion up and running and promoting Nanaimo to the world, I am optimistic we will see a stronger economy emerge here. I predict this will be the year we get a foot passenger ferry from Nanaimo to Vancouver. When I am travelling to Vancouver, I am amazed at how many people are foot passengers. The time is right for this service to succeed. When this comes, there will be many people who will choose the "Island Lifestyle" with the easy commute, "downtown to downtown".
